As summer unfolds, GoJet Airlines is thrilled to reflect on the incredible progress we’ve made in recent months. Our Chief Operating Officer, Terry Basham, shared key updates that highlight our momentum toward growth and success. Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved together—and what’s next!

Welcoming New Talent: Direct Entry Captains

The second quarter brought a surge of Direct Entry Captain (DEC) hires, with many coming through employee referrals. This wave of new talent not only strengthens our team but also rewards our employees with $10,000 referral bonuses—a win-win for everyone involved.

“Our Talent Acquisition team has done an outstanding job attracting top-tier talent to support our growth plans,” says COO Terry Basham. Their efforts have brought skilled professionals into our cockpit, setting us up for future success.

Captain Upgrade Program: A Major Milestone

Almost 100% of our First Officers are now part of our Captain Upgrade Program, with more pilots stepping into leadership roles each month.

“Seeing our First Officers stepping up and taking on leadership roles is incredibly rewarding,” says Basham. This commitment to advancement showcases the exceptional talent and ambition within our ranks.

Revitalizing Our Fleet

In a major push to expand capacity, we’ve begun bringing aircraft out of long-term storage. The first aircraft, tail number N569GJ, landed in St. Louis on June 13 and is expected to re-enter service around July 1.

This is just the start: 10 more aircraft are set to return to service by the end of 2024, ensuring we’re ready to meet growing demand and better serve our passengers.

Expanding Operations

With a growing fleet and crew, our flight operations are ramping up significantly. For July 2024, planned block hours have increased by over 25% compared to July 2023, translating into five additional flight lines next month. This growth means more opportunities for employees and better service for passengers across our network.

Looking Forward

“I am incredibly optimistic about our future,” Basham shared. “These positive developments are only the beginning of more successes to come.”

As we continue to grow, innovate, and expand, the possibilities are endless.

Thank You to the GoJet Team

Every milestone we achieve is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our incredible employees. You are the backbone of our success, and together, we’re creating a bright future for GoJet Airlines.

Stay tuned—there’s more to come as we soar into the future. ✈️
